BB/GB Tour Band 2009

On Sunday, 25 October 2009 it was our Annual Enrolment Parade and Service.

What made this year’s service an extra special occasion was 100 members of the Boys’ Brigade & Girls’ Brigade Tour Band attending the service and marching to Didsbury Village afterwards.

The BB/GB Tour Band is made up of young people from the London region who were touring the country playing and performing at many different events. The band spent 5 days in the North West, staying at the Boys’ Brigade Training Centre in Kirkham, near Blackpool.

There were over 230 people in our church for the Enrolment Service. After the service at 12 noon, the BB/GB Tour Band together with members of our band marched down Fog Lane towards Wilmslow Road; at Wilmslow Road they turned left and continued through Didsbury Village to Didsbury Park. It was great occasion having more than 100 people in the band!
